Ownership Review with customer Chelly Morris

You may remember the 5 questions we asked in the original Customer Spotlight we did with Chelly. If not, please read it here. Well, it’s been nearly 8 months since then so let’s catch up with her and her Honda CBR300R.

  1. It’s been a while, what has ownership of your bike been like since we last spoke. What has it been like owning your CBR300R?
It’s been fun for sure! I changed a few things on it. Got a gear indicator, did a fender eliminator, changed out the exhaust...so its LOUD AF now 😂 (Can i say that on here?) I dropped it once when i went to park it at the gym. Thought i had put the kickstand down and i guess it wasn't locked into position sooooooo it fell over. Nothing too bad though! 🙏🏽 Got a new jacket and a new helmet with a metallic visor that helps so much when the sun's out. A bunch of us that ride together got Cardo Headsets so we can communicate while riding too! – it’s so fun!

  2. You mentioned that your brother taught you how to ride, do you feel like you’ve grown as a rider? What have you learned?
Yes! I am constantly still learning so much! Every time I ride, I learn something new from one of the guys. I learned how to downshift coming to a stop or before a turn.

  3. You mentioned you wanted to ride through Sam Houston National Forest, what are some of the places you’ve traveled to on your bike?
We finally did the twisties through Sam Houston National Forest 🙌🏽 - THAT WAS A BLAST! I was able to feel myself leaning on the bike and get more comfortable with turns, keeping my eyes focused on where i want to go and not where I 'don’t' want to go. 😬 We've ridden to the airport where i work a couple times on days off. It’s always cool to take the bikes to the airport. Airplanes and Motorcycles just go really well together!

  4. If I remember right, you chose the 300 because it was a “starter” bike. Are you ready to step up to a 600, or maybe even a Ducati?
Oh, HECK yes! I love my 300 but honestly, I topped it out already my 2nd time out on it and I'm definitely ready for more speed and power. Just gotta talk my Fiancé into the fact that I HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED 😂😈 and I’m ready. 😉

  5. Would you recommend getting a bike to other women?
Yes, absolutely YESS! I think any woman who has an adventurous side that has wanted to ride should just go for it! I honestly didn't know if I would ever get one myself only because i had always just ridden as a passenger with someone. But I think it would be hard to not have one now. I fell in love with riding. ❤

Thank you Chelly. We're glad you are going and growing well on your bike! Please let us know if there's anything we can do for you in the future.
