Three hundred units of the 2025 MV Agusta F3 Competizione will be produced.

MV Agusta has been creating special limited editions of its motorcycles since way back when the late Claudio Castiglioni was in command of the prestigious Italian marque. The result has always been positive for both the image of the brand and its financial health. The new management installed by the Pierer Mobility ownership when it took control of the company with a 50.1 percent stake back in March of this year found it beneficial to refresh MV Agusta’s image and to maintain the appeal of the present line of models while new ones are in their development cycle. The F3 Competizione is perhaps one of the most appealing if not the most desirable of these special editions.

The 2025 MV Agusta F3 Competizione comes in this beautiful color scheme over carbon fiber bodywork.

Based on the F3RR, the F3 Competizione has been designed and developed to be one of the most prestigious and hottest-performing middleweights in production. Visually it stands out with its unique graphics, which use Carbon Black, Silver Gray, and gold in an elegant design that underlines the aggressive profile of the bike. To distinguish the Competizione from the rest of the family, all nonmetallic body components are made of carbon fiber with the texture easily visible on the front fender, on the sides of the fairing, and on the aerodynamic elements that are intended to add extra stability and downforce at high speeds. This version of MV’s 798cc counterrotating inline-triple engine makes a claimed 160 hp at 13,250 rpm (redline is set at 13,500), with 64.9 lb.-ft. of peak torque 10,100 rpm. For comparison, that’s a 13 hp bump compared to the standard RR. MV claims that the increase is largely due to the bike’s full titanium Akrapovič exhaust system. The engine is fully Euro 5+ homologated. An updated nine-disc clutch manages power to the six-speed transmission. The bike comes standard with the MV EAS 3.0 electronically assisted up-and-down quickshifter.

The chassis gets some upgrades over the standard RR including a 43mm Öhlins NIX 30 inverted fork and TTX 36 shock, both of which are fully adjustable. The frame is the same steel-trellis design used by the rest of the bikes in the family, while an Öhlins steering damper is also used. The suspension components also helped shave 2 pounds of weight off the bike compared to the units found on the RR.

But the most noticeable reductions in weight come from the use of carbon fiber wheels that feature a matte finish and five double spokes, saving 6.6 pounds of unsprung mass, which greatly improves steering response and handling. The wheels measure 3.5 x 17 inches in the front and 5.5 x 17 inches at the rear and are mounted with 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 tires, respectively. Another 6.6 pounds is saved by the use of a lithium-ion battery. In total, the Competizione is 31 pounds lighter than the standard RR. Upfront, the F3 Competizione has a pair of Brembo radial-mount four-piston Stylema calipers clamping down on 320mm discs, while a twin-piston Brembo caliper and 220mm disc are used at the rear. Continental’s MK 100 ABS system utilizes a six-axis IMU for cornering function and also Rear Wheel Lift-up Mitigation.

A full suite of electronic rider aids include four ride modes (Rain, Sport, Race, and Custom), eight levels of traction control, a pair of ABS modes (Sport and Race), launch control, Front Lift Control, and full ride-by-wire throttle control that is designed to provide smooth disengagement of cruise control, which comes standard. A full-color 5.5-inch TFT display can tether to the MV Ride app, allowing turn-by-turn navigation and other functions.

The MV Agusta F3 Competizione will be produced in 300 numbered units designated by an engraved plaque on top of the CNC-machined top triple clamp. The bike comes with a special cover, and certificate of authenticity. Pricing has yet to be announced for the US, but the European pricing is set at 34,000 euros (approximately $37,000).
