In a recent inter-dealership memo, Ducati North America coined the phrase "V1P Experience." They recognized it as a culture that we've created, and cited it as one of the reasons for our outstanding performance. We thought, that's cool, we should define what that is for our customers. But rather than us telling you what we think it is, we wanted an actual customer to define it for you. So here's a special customer spotlight to do that.
5 questions with customer Nathan Rosenblatt
- You were a little skeptical of V1 MOTO in the beginning, what was it that you were skeptical about?
I decided to get back into motorcycling in 2020. I was not sure about which bike to buy. I initially looked at the Ducati Hypermotards at V1 Moto sometime in the spring. Luis and Carlos were helpful, but I had not yet committed to that model. Because it was cheaper and faster, I bought a 2019 Kawasaki ZX-10R from K’s in Humble. - It took a while for you to decide to buy your bike from us, what was it that made you go ahead pull the trigger?
After I did a demo ride of a Hypermotard SP at Ducati Austin, I was hooked and started looking for my second bike. I found a cheap new 2020 model near Fort Worth and called Luis to see if he could sell one for the same price. He was able to get within $400 of the price. Luis also told me that he had a Hypermotard in a crate and that I could be a part of the un-crating experience. I was present for the un-crating and assembly of my ZX-10R and I wanted to see this happen again. - What was the process like buying your bike?
Luis is very personable and a great salesman. He gladly complied with my somewhat unusual requests of being present during the un-crating and having the techs refrain from washing the bike. The buying process was seamless, and Luis followed up with me via a text and inquired how I liked the bike. - Because you bought a Ducati, you were invited to attend a private trackday with Carlos as a coach. How was that?
This was my first track day and it was a great experience. I learned a lot from Carlos' coaching. It seemed like a very private and exclusive event compared to a RideSmart track day. I interacted with other V1 customers and the V1 staff were very hospitable. They provided trackside amenities and even filled my bike up with gas when it was running low. Carlos offered to let me ride the V4 Streetfighter as well. - We believe in quality; quality bikes, quality gear and most importantly quality service. Overall, how would you define the V1P experience?
The entire V1 experience at V1 Moto has been the best at any dealership for any vehicle. They have a low pressure sales tactics and genuinely care about their customers. The service department and parts department are way above par. Alex from the parts department got me a Termignoni exhaust and a DucaBike clear clutch. He even helped me figure out that the 2020 Hypermotard’s clutch differs from the 2019 even though both bikes are from the same generation and look identical. I will only bring my bikes to V1 for service from now on because the service guys treat you with the utmost respect and inspire confidence. I actually look forward to going to V1 for parts and service. I received a discount on riding gear and parts. The entire dealership is very well managed.
